Ellie not so happy.

Ice Skating at Farish

SO much fun! Ethan and Ellie's first attempt at ice skating. Ethan's first time out on the frozen pond. Well, Richard and Randy are their father's sons. They had to show off the inherited athletic abilities and put it to the test with a race across the pond.
All pooped out... in need of oxygen.
Rich and Ethan having fun.

goofin' off
Ellie didn't really love it like her big brother did. Maybe when she is a little older we'll try again.

Sledding at Farish

Uncle Randy and Aunt Whitney have come to town for a visit. Today , we headed up near Woodland Park to Farish Camp Ground/Park. The kids got to try out their new sled. It was so fun. A little scary when daddy took them down a steep first hill. But they soon got the hang of it.

Ethan loved it. Uncle Randy displayed a how to properly crash.

Yikes!

Saturday Morning Hike

What a beautiful day at Palmer Park. Drop off... yikes!
Me and my boy.
Ethan has a new smile. He fell a few weeks ago and hit his cheek on a table corner. It seems to have changed his smile a bit.
Oh fun -a cave.
I don't remember telling everyone to stick out their tongues.

Ethan and Ava Walking with the Dinosaurs

Our first event at the World Arena here in the Springs. Our friends , the Coursons, won tickets to the this great show. Below, Ethan and Ava in awe of the life size dinosaurs. What a wonderful show. What started out as a father/son/daughter event turned into Eve and I getting to go. We had a blast. Paleontologist trying to steer clear of Brachiosaurus

Eleven Mile frozen lake

A couple weeks ago we decided to take a quick drive up to Eleven Mile Park. It turnedout to be 8 degrees there... burrrr... It was really cool to get to look at and talk to the ice fisherman. The ice was about 4-6 ft thick

Ice Lake with Ethan and Ellie

We met daddy for lunch at his work last week. The kids always love to go for a short hike there during daddy's lunch break. The Lake was frozen and safe to walk on. Although I was a bit nervous.

Visiting the animals with Natalie

We are back in Texas visiting family for the holidays. We went out to Tammy's house today. (R's sister) The kids got to check out the new baby pig and ride a really old horse named "Buttermilk". They had a great time. Unfortunately these pics were taken with a video camera. They definitey lack quality.
